NaNoWriMo 2012 Days 2 and 3

Day 2 was considerably harder than day 1, but I managed to make it to just over the target total, even though I had to stay up a bit longer than usually in order to do so. Part of it was due to me spending all afternoon in town running various errands and so having less time to write, but I was also starting to feel a little lost in my plot. I use the word plot very loosely, considering that started into this adventure with a completely fresh idea, that consisted of a couple of sentences in an office document. I haven't worked out any of the details yet. Mostly, I intend on letting the story tell itself. That worked great for me during my first NaNo, in 2003, and after a couple of years failing to make the 50k with a plan, I'm now trying without one for a change.

Today is flowing so much better and although I spent most the morning doing household chores, going to the market and taking care of other rl obligations, I have more than half the daily word count already, and it's not even 2 p.m. As for the content, my novel is turning into a crime spree. So far, I've had a threatening letter, an abduction, a homicide and a car accident under the influence.
